Day 114: Kisses

Lately Chorley has been super cute, and lots more interactive. When I give her kisses, you can tell she is trying to give you kisses back, and it's sooo cute!!! I love it.. So I have been smothering her in kisses and and love her incredibly slobbery kisses back.

Day 113: Driving Home

The day we drove home it was totally gorgeous out!!! Super blue skies, white puffy cloud, sunshine and clear. Utah is such a gorgeous state. We really miss the mountains and canyons. It took us QUITE a bit longer than normal to get home. Sometimes we would make it in just under 10 hours, or maybe 10.5 hours. But this time, we did hit some traffic, lots of feeding stops with Chorley, and she also had a slight meltdown towards the end.. but who can blame her, after having to sit in a carseat ALL day. It took us about 13.5 hours to get home, but we finally made it, and were glad to be in our own bed that night.

Day 112: Friends

One thing that we have been really missing since we moved back to Cali, is all the wonderful neighborhood friends that we had back in Lehi. We miss the days of going outside, working in the yard, and chatting the day away with friends, knowing everyone in the neighborhood and just catching up with everyone. We pretty much spent most of the day at our old neighbor's house, the Worthingtons and the Powells. The kids had a great time esp. playing in the street with the old neighborhood kids. I also got to go the the Mt Timpanogos temple and go through with a friend from the neighborhood who was going through for the first time. I am sooo proud of her and what she's accomplished to get there, and I just bawled my eyes out. I felt really blessed to be apart of it. That night we got some Hart's drinks and Cafe Rio for dinner... doesn't get more Utah than that...

Day 111: Graduation

Today was the big day. The whole reason we went up to Utah. Katelin was graduation from BYU. All of us sisters went up there for her big day. Both me and Kristine totally surprised her, and she had no idea we were coming. It's probably the last time our whole family will be in Utah together, for quite awhile, esp now that no one is living up there. We went to the graduation ceremony, Austin and Sydney cheered for her when her name was read and we were all excited. We took LOTS of pictures and then went out to a really nice lunch together afterwards. That night, Jeremy flew in, and we finally got to be back together as a family, which was VERY nice too.

Day 110: Surprise Baby Shower

Today was LOTS of fun and full of seeing LOTS of wonderful friends from Lehi.. First, I got to go to Shelley and get my hair done and it was sooo fun to visit with her. Then we went to visit the Lehi neighborhood and see lots of friends.. I originally thought I was going to just hang out and visit, but I walked into a surprise baby shower for me!!! oh my gosh!!! I couldn't believe it!!! Leah totally surprised me and had her house decorated super cute, LOTS of yummy food, and some of my very missed friends from the neighborhood... it made me even more sad to see our house and not be able to go inside and have it be our own. Everyone got to meet Chorley and see her. The kids got to go over to their friends houses and play, have fun, and be kids!!! it was WONDERFUL!!!

Day 109: Baby Toes in A Heart

I've seen this done before, and have been meaning to do it... and now Chorley's feet are getting a little too big for my hands too.. LOL... Today was mostly driving again. We finished the drive from St George up to Orem and checked into our hotel. The kids actually worked on quite a bit of homework, since we were gone, I still needed to be a responsible parent and make sure they stayed caught up on school work while they were gone from school.

Day 108: Driving

Well today I surprised the kids with a pretty big surprise. They went to school as normal, and then Jeremy went and check them out for the day... then we got all packed up, and I took the kids to Utah!!!! Jeremy couldn't come, due to work, so I packed up the car and drove off, with 2 kids and a baby to Utah. We only went as far as St George, which was good, cuz I don't think I could have gone any further than that. But all in all, the kids were pretty good, even Chorley.
