On Valentines Day, I showed Sydney a picture of a girl who went to school with a heart braid and she has been begging me to do one ever since. Today was a day I got up a bit early and she was actually ready for school early, so there was time for the heart braid. This is how it turned out, and she was VERY happy with the end result and proud to wear it to school today.Day 65: ChorleyAge: 87 days old
Austin has always loved watching pitchers pitch. In the backyard, he practices his pitching and has hoped to one day pitch. Today he did pitch, and opened the game as a pitcher. He still has a long way to home, but he did pretty good, and at the end of the inning was throwing quite a few strikes. As a mother I was VERY proud watching him pitch, and thankful for a coach who game him a chance to try it out.Day 63: ChorleyAge: 85 days old
This week was Dr Seuss's birthday so the kids had some extra fun activities at school. One day was wear green for Green Eggs & Ham, one was wear pjs and bring a book to school for extra reading time, wear a shirt with words on it, etc. The kids had fun picking out their outfits for the week, plus anytime getting excited over reading is always fun. Sydney's spelling words were even all Dr Seuss words too!!Day 62: Chorley (rock star)Age: 84 days old
Some days around here are super busy, some are filled with practices, with Scouts or games. So sometimes while we are waiting, we have to multi task, instead of driving all the way home, we do homework in the car. It's kinda nice, I get some one on one time with the kids doing the homework, I can answer questions, and Chorley and I just hang out in the front seat and we get done what we need to get done.Day 61: ChorleyAge: 83 days old
Lucky Leap Year!!!! Well today went totally unexpected for how it ended. It was going great, I got to get out and get some lunch with some of the girls from the ward, the kids had little homework, dinner was done early and the kids actually got in bed early.. Then I got a call from Joans Miller from church, asking if I wanted to go to Disneyland since it was open all night due to Leap Year. I asked Jeremy if I should go, and he thought I was crazy and said to go for it. I said ok, and in 30 minutes I was out the door. There were also 2 YW from the ward that came along with us. They ended up falling asleep on the way.. why? cuz we left at 10 pm and didn't get off the carpool offramp till 1 am!! that's right over 2.5 hrs for the last 2 miles to get there.. insanity huh?? and, when we got there this is the sign we saw!!! Yes, Disneyland was filled to capacity!!! You couldn't do in, until someone left. yup, so then we decided just to not go, and got some Mcdonalds, I got the cocoa. As we were heading back, we noticed all the traffic cleared up, so we thought, lets try this. We parked quickly, and walked up to security and the line to just go through security and then go in, were INSANE!!! that was it, we headed home, but it was a fun little adventure for the night!!!Day 60:ChorleyAge: 82 days old
Today was opening day for Austin's Little League Baseball. He was sooo excited. This year his team is the Texas Rangers. He has a great coach and team, and Austin is his lucky number... number 12, so hopefully this is a great season. I'm surprised at home much he loves baseball, it's sooo fun to watch him get excited over it.Day 56: ChorleyAge: 78 days old
